First off, it’s important you understand what affiliate marketing is, and why we’re using Digistore24. Affiliate marketing is simply a business model where you promote a product that isn’t yours and earn a commission every time you refer someone to that product. Even huge companies like Amazon & Target have affiliate programs. Digistore24 is an affiliate network full of products, but the reason WHY we’re using it is because they’re available in countries most aren’t available. So now that you understand that, let’s get started with the step-by-step tutorial.
2:32 STEP #1 – PICK A PLATFORM:
There are many ways to promote products as an affiliate, some better than others… some free, some paid. The platform we’re using is Pinterest. Not only is this a platform that’s completely FREE to use, but it’s VERY overlooked and FULL of red-hot buyers! How it works is there are boards that you can put pins on (think of it like a vision board) and each of those “pins” has a link in them that can go to a product, service, website, etc. and more on all that later.
4:50 STEP #2 – PICK A PRODUCT ON DIGISTORE24:
Now, when it comes to choosing your product – make sure it’s one that fits inside the niche you choose. To find a niche, simply google “best niches on Pinterest” and choose one of those. For this tutorial, I chose health & fitness with a focus on healthy diet (like keto). After you have your niche, you go to that category on Digistore24, pick a popular product, grab your affiliate link and save it for later.
8:14 STEP #3 – CREATE PIN ON CANVA:
This is the most important step, this is where we create the actual pins for Pinterest. Canva is basically a 100x easier (but equally powerful) version of photoshop. Plus, they have a free account that works perfect. Not to mention. they literally have complete Pin templates that you just have to basically change a couple things and copy & paste some images. After you’ve created your pin, download it and save it for step 5.
11:56 STEP #4 – CREATE BOARD:
Now we are going to create our board. You want to create a board for each specific topic in your niche. For example, I could have one for exercise, keto recipes, etc. But just start with one, save a couple of other people’s pins inside it, and update your description with some keywords.
13:30 STEP #5 – UPLOAD PIN:
Now, it’s time to upload our pin. Inside of Pinterest, it’s called “create pin.” Make sure to add some keywords in the title & description of the pin. The last part is to add a link inside the pin, but you can’t just add the affiliate link directly anymore – you need a page in the middle. So that’s where step 6 comes in!
14:17 STEP #6 – CREATE GOOGLE SITES PAGE:
Without this step, the entire strategy goes to poo. We simply create a simply google sites page (which is basically a free website) and then we add our affiliate link on the site, and add the google site link to our pin – I show it all in the video.
