1. Your activity (the types of content you’ve been engaging with)
2. Information about the post (how quickly people are liking, commenting and sharing as well as details like posting time and location)
3. Information about the person who posted (this helps the algorithm guess how interested you may be in their type of content)
4. You history of interacting with someone (taking note if you typically interact with this person’s content or not)

How Instagram ranks stories:
1. Your viewing history (how often you view an accounts’ stories)
2. Your engagement history (how often you engage with an accounts’ stories)
3. Closeness (how likely you are to be friends or family)

4 signals for ranking content in your explore feed:
1. Information about the post (how quickly people are liking, commenting and sharing as well as details like posting time and location)
2. You activity in Explore (Instagram notes the types of content you normally interact with in explore, and show you more of it)
3. You history of interacting with someone (taking note if you typically interact with this person’s content or not)
4. Information about the person who posted (how many people interact with this account, etc.)

4 signals that determine how content is ranked in your Reels are:
1. Your activity (the types of content you’ve been engaging with)
2. Your history of interacting with the person
3. Information about the Reel (how quickly people are liking, commenting and sharing as well as details like audio)
4. Information about the person who posted (number of followers or general engagement)
